Manufacture began in 1941 in a plant located at 285 Badger Avenue in Clinton Hill, Newark, New Jersey. Their first name was «M&M Limited». The two «Ms» present the names of the creator of Newark Company(Forrest E. Mars Sr.) and also son of Hershey Chocolate’s CEO William F. R. Murrie(Bruce Murrie),who had a 20% stock in the M&M’s.The company’s initial great orders and also users was the U.S. army, which saw the contrivance as a way to permit servicemen to bring candy or chocolate in tropic climates throughout it melting.
